An experienced financial compliance professional, Gerald Michael Shaw holds a bachelor of science in finance and accounting from the University of Southern California and a degree in compliance and regulation from Pace University. Over the course of his 43-year career, he has managed a range of banking institutions and insurance organizations. Gerald Michael Shaw also served four years as the elected president of the Orange County Board of Education. After living and working for prolonged periods of time in China, reading, writing and speaking Mandarin, and recently in Puerto Rico, reading, writing, and speaking Spanish, and he has developed significant skill handling international business interactions with the necessary cultural sensitivity.
Mr. Shaw has served as global compliance officer with Dominion Bank & Trust Company Limited since 2016. His areas of responsibility encompass all elements of financial regulatory oversight including the assessment and review of new clients with an emphasis on responsible and conscientious business interactions. His role with Dominion Bank also includes serving as managing director of two different Puerto Rican entities, the Dignity Development Private Equity Fund with a current Fund size of $20,000,000,000.00 and the Outvst Accelerator Hedge Fund with current Funds under management of $40,000,000,000.00.
